Default Awesome!

so you see all this resesion shit on tv these days and think it nto THAT bad , petrol has gone down and thats about it.

i just went on holidays to thailand with the missus and some friends and the aussie $ sucked a little while we are there but the worst part was getting home and yesterday going into work to find out that!!!... my role (im a consturction estimator) has been made redundant!!! so as of today my ass has no job

the company i work for JWH has cut around 30 people becuase the housing market has slowed right down and from what i hear lots of places are doing it.

if you would have told me 3 months ago that my role in resi construction would be made redundant i would have laughed.

what a fucking suprise ,good news for me 1 month away from x-mas and all.

Sooo..... anyone know a place that could use an estimator or scheduler??

your un-employed friend luke

I guess the "name a price, double it" days are numbered, if not already over for tradespeople....good, maybe I'll start naming their prices now.

Funny thing is the reason everything has slowed to is because everyone is scared of what the news is saying about a "recession". If they kept spending then jobs wouldnt become redundant :S

Blame the media and the dumb people who actually listen to them.

Unfortunatley, you still get what you pay for. You can apply the same theory to your car parts you purchase.

Plus Doadrift is pretty much on the money. The fact of the matter is, if noone knew that there was a "recession" going to happen, everyone would still be buying boats and throwing their money around and noone would end up jobless. Media hype just like "hoons" "alcoholic teenages" "violence in playgrounds"

'Hi we are today tonight, if we had a story worth while watching we wouldnt have to scramble bullshit today, to present tonight.'
