Once you have a job, any job it will be a lot easier to find a new job. When you walk in to an interview and tell them you are unemployed that will just about write you off for that job. If you are employed you must be an "alright" worker so they will give you a go. Every boss would rather employ a person that already has a job then risk somebody that is not working.

I do some part time office cleaning to help out my parents and give me some extra $$ to spend on cars/bikes. $60/hour after tax. Beneath that scoobygez? Dont think you should be getting centrelink if your that picky. Mums boss keeps giving her work because he cant find enough people to do the work. I have 2 degrees and a fulltime job, but im not stupid enough, unwilling to work hard, or too good to pass up good money.

Smokey where do I sign up? I'd be well keen on doing this to earn some extra cash. Are they still looking for workers?

Point taken but to be fair you were coming across as being desperate to get a job.

Everyone does have their limits though...just depends how touch things are getting for you.

If you have the money to be able to live on a lower wage for a while have you tried calling around the local cabinet makers / kitchen fitters / bathroom fitters to see if they need a second pair of hands? At least it exposes you to the local market for a bit to see whats out there.

You could always get yourself an ABN and just set yourself up as a handyman. The overheads shouldnt be to bad and if your quick enough your going to be able to claim back 30% of everything you buy for the business....including a vehicle and tools.

Yeah i aint the best at coming across on a pc i like to meet people though, not desparete as such at all still got a few $$$$ in the bank, was just hopin some one could post up there is a job at my place or somat and help me get in....

i certainly dont think or feel i am better than anyone nor do i feel like i am under anyone to me everyone is equal we all gotta eat drink and shit, we just go about things differantly and have differant views and ideas.yeah rung various cab makers a month or so ago and the month before that they all have my details and resumes but have/had nothing available...

as for setting my own business not confident enough to do that by myself tbh ...
