Tethering is included dependant on network.

Apple have finally included most of the reasons people jailbreak their phones (MMS, cut and paste, extra SMS features, bluetooth etc). It is about freaking time.

Bring on June!

Now... Where is the new phones...? I need to upgrade

turn-by-turn navigation should be good.

I have been wondering if this was coming because I have noticed more recently my google maps app is getting less accurate at picking up my exact location and a lot slower and updating.

Wonder if this is built in delay so they can make more money from a TomTom app????

Would love to know how without jail breaking - the issue is with phone functionality NOT network provider.

Just so I am clear - need to get internet access on the road for my laptop using Iphone as the modem.

Any suggestions on finding this function within the latest software update are appreciated.

This is going to be included with the iPhone 3.0 firmware update according to the release yesterday.

But we won't see the final version till June. Until then tethering is pretty locked down.

Rumour is, this was restricted by AT&T as their network couldn't handle it. So the rest of the world had to suffer!

I think Apple has finally woken up that they have a massive world market to cater for, not just the silly USA market which has only just gotten this 3G technology.
