By all accounts it pretty buggy and not all of the promised features fully work (cut n paste being the worrying one!). Not sure if i'd want to use it in my phone that I need for work.

Guy says its working fine, has had it running for 24 hours now. Told him to keep going with it for another day before I was willing to take the plunge.

TJ, unless you have a spare phone, don't just install this unless you are a proper dev. The install files with the beta firmware clearly state your phone becomes locked in development mode. Then there will be the issues of activating it blah blah blah.

If the jailbreaking methods are still possible with this, I'm sure a new pwnge will be out to support it soon.

anyone tried to watch the presenation of it on the apple site?

I cant get it all working, it will play for a few mins then stop, or the audio goes missing.

I thought i would start it up, let it buffer for a while then watch it. didnt help at all.

Thought it would be on youtube but its not, or at least i cant find it. Its filled with people recapping the event - must have a tonne of time on their hands!!

if your phone is jailbreak

there is a software call " XGPS"

its like tom tom with voice navigation..
i'm using it and its not that bad...

I am looking at getting an iphone this week. i have heard rumours of a new iphone coming out in a few months. does anyone know anything about this. i dont want to buy one now and then regret it a few months later.

Nothing has been released if a new phone is coming, it is all speculation.

However, the code of the new iPhone 3.0 beta has shown there are codes for a new iPhone and 2 new products. When or if they get released is anyone's guess.

Personally I'm hoping for a June release with a 32/64gig phone. But I dream a lot too
