hey guys, yesterday i tried logging into my ebay account and i could not login, i tried again then and i still cant, i checked that i made sure caps lock wasnt on and that i entered the correct password several times, still nothing. The last time i logged in may of been a few weeks ago and recently it had only been done at my work computer. Its as if someones hacked my account and changed the password. i tried getting the password emailed to me but no email comes through, it was about 4 yrs ago i made this ebay account and wasnt sure which email was linked to it so i tried all 3 emails it could of been, but i dont get any email! Is it common for ebay accounts to get hacked like this? if thats whats happened? why would someone wanna hack an ebay account? they cant steal any money out of it so whats the point!? i cant contact ebay coz wen i click contact ebay it asks me to login first!

this happened to anyone before? and what did you do? i dont wanna have to make a new account coz ill lose all my feedback!

you could have registered with a different email...
also if you save passwords etc in your browser, it may be in the logged passwords or something at home

i sed i tried all the possible emails it could of been registered with
and no the passwords arent saved in the browser, and anyway i know what my ebay password is, and no its not working to log me in!!

Check your credit card to see if you have been billed for listings. I had my PC hacked and I had my hotmail & eBay accounts passwords changed, they put up a heap of listings for cheap laptops but I was onto it within 2-3 hours & eBay online support suspended my account. You will need to fax eBay some ID to unlock your account.

yeah nothings been billed off my credit card, im not missing any money, but they wouldnt of been able to get any credit details anyway off my ebay account. I found you can you that ebay live service to geti n contact rather then the standard contact us that requires you to login. so i will try that.

I have been having the exact same problem, I'm guessing ebay is having technical difficulties???

you didnt get one of them fake ebay home pages did you??


i got one ie i got a email saying some one had a listing same as mine folow link to investigate kinda thing it then took me to ebay hiomepage to log in i did this and nothing happened, so i trtied again i then realised it was a fake home page and needed to get to ebay via a google route quickly, luckily nothing had happened so i just quickly changed my password could be somat like this??

these guys can get to ya paypal thru ebay as most peole use same passowrd and email address so i would check ya paypal too......


other than that ring ebay and explain to em the forgot passwrod isnt emailing to your email address you/they should have security questions ie mothers maiden name etc....

i didnt notice anything irregualr and hadnt recieved any "fake" ebay emails.

its ok i went onto the live help, and yes they said my ebay password had been recently changed, or hacked as you could call it, they have changed the password and put a temp lock on my acount, so it looks like ive got it sorted.

The reason they would hack your Ebay account is to list fake items with it and then when people pay and not receive anything you are the one that gets the blame
