Any suggestions for a lcd sub 1.5k? (1080p min)

What size? Personally I prefer in the following order:

Sony Bravia (I have the 32" D series... MotionFlow etc)
Panasonic Viera
Samsung

But a 47" under 1.5K? Not too sure unless an older or superseded model?

Ones to leave alone: Hisense, Conia, any other name ya haven't heard of.

Up to yesterday I'd never heard of Kogan.... but yeh, the prices are killa & their website claims to offer them by cutting out all the middlemen blah blah.

Got all the hallmarks of rebadging, but from which other brand?

from what I read online konan rebadge other tvs and add their own software. The problem being that you dont know what tv they have rebranded until after you have brought it.

have you used grays online? I would much prefer to deal with a local person.

they probably reband a bunch of different tv's and its not like the majors dont do it anyway there are only a handful of actual lcd panel makers.

its not even cheap can get a full hd samsung 40incher for 600 bucks!

i've never even heard of kogan, or even seen it at shop at all, for $900, i think it would be a safer option got spend a little more and go for something like samsung which is trully awesome..

Yeh I have used grays and have a mate that uses them heaps they are aussie company not dodgy at all in my experience.

The stuff they sell is mostly from suppliers, for eg some of the bravia stuff is put on there for sony au, they are usually refubished display models or they are new but cosmeticly defected (scratch on the surround or the box got wet) they check them over make sure they work 100% and sell them on grays with full warranty.
