Default Blackberry Storm 9500

I'm up for contract soon and need a button-less mobile solution, hence the search for a touch screen model. Not interested in iPhone.

Looked at a few and shortlisted it to:

Blackberry Storm
HTC Diamond/Magic/Touch HD
Samsung Omnia I900

I'm leaning strongly towards the BB Storm, does anyone here have one & can give me a non-whirlpool.net.au opinion? Particularly concerned about battery life and OS ease of use. Anyone else considering this model in the near future?

The BB Storm is aimed a bit more at the coprorate user and is better for email functionaility than the Iphone for example. It really depends what you want/need. The Iphone is flawed, but a new version is going to announced in around 6 weeks. If you're not that fussed about your phone's media capabilities i.e camera/mp3/video then don't worry about the Iphone. I don't know about the other 2, but the Storm is pretty good. I think it only has an 8gb flash memory card, but if you're not watching heaps of movies & listening to lots of music, then 8gb is plenty. There's heaps of detailed objective reviews on the net.

hey mate i have a storm and have had it for 4 months now.
normal battery life is about 48 hours but if you use the internet a whole lot this will be far less.
I would only really recommend it if you were going to use it more as a business phone but in the end of the day if you like it......... buy it.

Sorry Jimmy, I'll pass on that one... even at half the price you are asking, it is cost ineffective to purchase outright & go on a SIM only plan....
