Newsgroups.... I download at the max speed of the line i am on. Coupled with an unlimited vivid wireless homehub I download about 11Mbps constantly. It's complicated to set up and costs about $15 a month, but def worth it if you like movies and tv shows.

May as well just pay iTunes/Amazon and do it all legit.

I always question why you would bother paying and getting that sort of speed when you can just que up your downloads in uTorrent and download off peak???.. I use AAPT who give me unlimited offpeak...

I used about 120GB last month off and 50 on and only pay about 85 a month including my landline and local call plan... The only issue I have these days is space/hard drives haha.. just wacked another 2tb in.

Won't last long, unless you meant 2TB

$0 a month for everything I want off FTP's is better and faster than any newsgroup.

I just don't understand why people pay for newsgroups, plus big internet packages, plus lots of hard drive space etc etc etc. If you are paying for it all, you can do it legit for a similar price.

If you are not going to be legit, why pay someone for pirated gear? The scene is to get the information out there for free, not for some company to profit off it.

I'd love to know what FTP's you use.. Never knew there was an FTP that people uploaded all this stuff to. But thinking about, i assume it all comes from the same source, so makes sense.

I would say the speeds would be the same, as i download at the physical max speed of my line via SSL.

You're on drugs I crapped all over those FTP's with HTTP back then and still would.

Zero cost.

No direct unlim waix quotas reduces the worth of those sites 'you're also welcome for being invited to the larger one and thanks for trying to help me get back on when it re-emerged'.

I'm not on any FTP's anymore, so can't help you on that.

My point was more the 'why pay for pirated stuff'. If you are paying, just get the legit. There are plenty of other ways to get the same stuff as newsgroups faster and for free as the scene intended.
