F-------KKKKK NOOOOOOOOO Camcorder died

OK had a brain explosion, was hooking up new HD camera for hillclimb tomorrow and plugged in car charger but it was set to 6V not 5V now camera wont turn on

I assume it has tripped something ? were would be the best place to take Sanyo HD1000 camcorder ?
