Rob, go to either a post office or to DPI. Take your rego papers as proof that it is paid with you and they will hand over a new sticker.
Had to do that with the prancer coz Trav lost his sticker before I sold it for him. Took papers to post office, no prob.

Anyway, it says on the paper "REQUEST H.A.L.F $115.30"(2) whatever that means? Can't believe WAPOL bring these through the courts now? What the hell? I'm guitly, but this is a screwup on by the Police and i'm interested to exploit this very silly oversight made by them.

Funny thing is, I remember them threatning to take the plates of the car, but from what I can remember, even if you don't pay your rego, you have up to three months before you are FORCED to take them in? So what's up with the cops saying they can just rip em off?(3)

So admit guilt, go to court and say they fucked the paperwork and see what happens, which i am tempted to do, or admit guilt send it in and just deal with it ..

(1)... There never was an infringement option for drive unlicensed vehicle, it has always been dealt with by the courts.

(2)... Request Half Annual Licence Fee. This is a mandatory penalty in addition to any fine imposed by the court.

(3)... It used to be one calendar month. Anything beyond that & off come the plates; however as you say, I believe it has been increased to 3 months. That said, police still have the discretion to seize plates if the licence expiry is less than 3 months over, and the vehicle is unroadworthy for example.

Fine for not having up current rego sticker is $50 infringement.
There was never a fine for unlic car as wayne just stated, its always a court appearance.
The fine for driving unlic car is $100 + half the annual licence fee (good to see wayne still remembers.)

once it been over 3 months, you have to get the cars to pits
to get your license back or to rego it back, am i right?

is there a way not to go through pits and just pay the rego?
