years ago when i was a poor student and living in the ghetto in Wilson.. we got broken into. that night was hot and Id had a bottle of wine and the fan was on full bore.. so I didnt hear a damn thing. They did leave behind all their weapons tho (chisels n shit) which was a bit scary. took off with a clubsport instead. Took the keys from the bedside table next to us while we were sleeping. in retrospect im bloody glad i didnt wake up ! and now u guys all have me spooked.. even tho we over in qld now.. im selling my Clio and I get a guy call me about it tonight. Can barely speak english, doesnt ask a single question about the car... just wants to see it. agree to thursday night. then he calls again wanting tomorrow night or wed. agree to wed and I say ill text him where to meet. So I give him a general landmark and he writes back wanting my exact address. Dodgy ? we will see !

I always understood that security alarms worked by motion sensor? The main thing stopping me from getting one was that my kids would set it off in the night sleep walking or getting up to pee or to come into my room.

You run an at home setting which just monitors the doors and glass breakage sensors and run the full system with motion detectors when you are not at home. http://www.smarthome.com.au/security/ this also has the ring a phone number system and you can listen in on whats happening inside your house via your phone Last edited by Rexy03; 11-05-2009 at 09:35 PM. |

Just wouldn't rely on it thats all..
that cheap system is all batterys you will need to replace. 4 pirs ? great what about the other rooms with windows. ? garage hall ways its like anything you get what you pay for. and thats the $799 system on that site As a proper installed system is more reliable and has a lot more features. It not just a matter of sticking a pir in and ya done. generally speaking for friends I have installed a system, 10 PIRS, Remote Fobs, LCD Keypad, external and internal Sirens, Fully programable for night mode, all the sensors i use are also Pet zones too so small dogs are all good. That I do for friends for $1300 Most of the installers that buy from my work would charge $3500 for that system. of course its house dependent.. if its a hard house can cost more. but gives you an idea.. Can also do remote fobs when you come into garage. night arming alarm will ring many mobile numbers, Access control with swip card the works. |
