Haha, the thought has crossed my mind for sure. I don't want her or me to make any rash decisions, as we've only been going out since February..but she always wanted to leave France, so it would work out well for us if she could actually come here.

Need to sell more drugs.

have you considered A TAFE/college course instead of uni in the short term? yes still overseas student fees but course is shorter and with some of these courses she could make the points for skills with a sponsor. i had a sponsor and only then required another 40pts to make the cut. tafe/college courses may also knock off some time served in a uni course.

if you are abosulutely serious pay a small initial fee for a migration agent to get a consult and they "should" be able to do an initial assessment for you..... and clearly adv all possible cheap and expensive avenues for PR. warning if they try to extend the consult $$$, they are either not worth it or do not know what they doing.

either way international student fees just depends how long you are willing to pay them for unless you pay for wedding rings instead.

another word of advice if applying down the track, migration agents are for people with money or cant be bothered reading up on how to apply. all the required information is available immi website and with lots of bedtime reading one can easily apply themselves...... good luck

Basically if they have been together a short time, she has no money and little or no qualifications then there's no point spending $$ on a migration agent. Just give me a carton of Crownies and I'll be able to advise.

edit
My SIL is out on a years visa from the UK, that finishes up in October, so she is doing a TAFE course for 6 months to extend her stay. That is costing her 5k, then she'l try and get into uni, but again this won't be cheap. My advise would be to maintain a long distance relationship, lots of emails, letters etc, these may come in handy later on down the track.

Cheers, boys.

I'm thinking she can do one of the bridging courses at Tafe, come on a student visa, stay for a few years and see how she goes. It may open up some avenues and, at the same time, we'll see how we are as a couple, and if we are still together.

joey - This p-wrx, man! I know what goes on around here when girlfriends are posted up....Haha.
