If they can the Motorsport side of things we'll just have to take to the streets. I don't think the RAC would want to be held responsible for the rise in hoon behavior.

FYI...I met with the RAC manager (Aaron Harding) last week to ask questions about the continuation of the MC Motorsport side of the business and to introduce IWRXOC.
Steve Cherry will be staying on as joint manager for 12 months and for that period nothing will change with MC Motorsport. After that is still up in the air but Aaron seems to be supportive of the concept, so fingers crossed.
IWRXOC will certainly be keeping up regular contact with RAC to ensure that our ideas are heard.

Like any business - if the MC Motorsport activities generate cashflow and make money, why chop it off? (unless you have a substitute income stream which generates higher returns).

If it loses money and/or doesn't generate a good return on cost, it will be scrapped. I would guess it's a good earner.

Does anyone know why they only offer the V8's and the Toyota MR2's?

There seems to be enough petrolheads and people with money to burn on a cool birthday present that it would be profitable to expand the cars / events on offer to make more of a 'arrive and drive' motorsport / activity day complex

Toyota tie ups made those cars cheap to acquire, and the v8s touch the pure bogan heart of Aussies.

They dont have enough time to run more cars.

Apparently RAC have now banned in-car video recorders from being used at the venue due to "image" concerns resulting from YouTube vids of skids, etc at the venue - not sure if the ban applies to video footage being shot and photos being taken from the spectator areas/grassed area - if they are serious about the ban, then probably it should be banned from everywhere (good luck policing it). Worrying signs from the new owners??

I don't think there's any need for paranoia (yet)...I can't see external camera/video bans becoming a reality. And remember that the V8's have the in-car video option. We shall see what develops Freddo...
