Where to stay in Broome
We are going to Broome in September and we were going to stay at the Frangipani resort, however it sold out today!!
Any other recommendations of where to stay? we are tossing up between the oaks and the sanctuary (use to be rendevous) Don't want to spend a small fortune, but don't want a hole either!

Yeah i stayed at the Mangrove a few weeks ago for work. Nice waking up to the sunrise over the inlet.
Cable Beach Resort would be my next idea, but thats probably pretty expensive. |

The Pearle, Cable Beach Resort or the Bali Hai Resort.

the pearle was farking awsome....nice service and very new/clean rooms with kitchens and stuff.
depends if you're planning on cooking there or dining out? each room at the pearle comes with its own lap pool + bbq + = faking sweet!

I'm going up for a wedding in May 2010 and we have booked into the Frangipani. We booked in May this year and it was almost booked out then! I hear the Pearle is nice!

Absolutley do not stay at the sanctuary (ronde-shithouse) Everyone that I speak to has hated it, room, food, service or lack there of and general atmosphere....
Mangrove is also pretty average.. I wouldn't. Oaks should be finished by then, is quite nice and the bar/restuarant has good cheap food. If your single, Kimberley Klub, Cable beach backpackers... You won't be dissapointed. Pearl and Bali Hai are probably the best value for money. However, Pearl's restuarant is an unlicensed cafe and bali Hai doesn't have a restuarant. The new Eco Beach, roughly an hour south of Broome, not cheap, but is an amazing place to stay. Go onto www.wotif.com within 4 weeks of coming to broome and you will find some good bargains, Cable Beach club included. last minute hotel.com is also another good one. check now to get some ideas While you do pay for the name at the Club, you get what you pay for.... You pay for what no other hotel/resort in broome can offer. 2 minutes from your room and your on cable beach. They also have everything you need and pay for the experience. I can say the above on some authority, I live here and I also call on all of the above on a weekly basis for work.. Depending on how much $$ you got, you can stay at our place and baby sit for me while we go to Thursday Night at the Roey /Oasis.... |
