Not quite solid state, but i did build a vista based machine with the WD raptor 15k drives. Quite a noticable difference in general usability as to what vista normally is. (SLOW AS FUCK!)

That said, i've just built a new machine tonight. QC9400, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB hard disk and it's running windows 7 sweet as. Absolutely lightening fast, quite impressed.

Also running 7 on my lappy, Core 2 Duo 2.53Ghz with 4GB RAM and it runs a hell of alot better than the Vista install it came with.

So all round i'm extremely happy with Windows 7 and definately will be pushing it out to alot of my clients as soon as its available.

nice! are you running windows 7 on the desky with a 32mb chached raptor or something?
I was a bit worried that the amount of shit they tried to make better on it would put general users at a disadvantage (not that im a general user, three blown graphics cards and multiple mother board changes due to over clocking have occured) the more i hear about it the more i want it now. how often are they updating it?

i was starting with the beta version when it came out 1st july but then the desktop decieded to chuck a fit and take the bios on holiday. might have to look at getting it on the laptop.

its available in March 2010 retail isnt it?

Running Windows 7 on my Dell Mini 9 which has a 16GB SSD and 2GB memory.

Been great so far. No slower then XP which it came with. Running Vista was a no go on this netbook.

Windows.7Loader.32Bit.64Bit.v1.4-Orbit30.And.Hazar

that will work.

Build 7260 is NOT RTM build

build 7600.16385 is the official RTM build.

build 7260 may work with a RC CD Key.
