My older brother had a 400 small block chev in his boat that he bought for 10k off a mate. Easily toed 4 people on biscuits, wakeboards, knee boards etc. Now its just a shit fight to find a good area that isnt packed and has more then 2ft of water.

hey Perthzed did you end up getting a ski ??? im thinking about picking one up at the moment, looking at the Yamaha FX160's 05-08 models with the MR1 engine and 160hp... gotta piss all over the VX700 80hp ones that almost every country uses as their rental thrashers haha

hey, another question :P
what are parts like to find for the old stand up ski's in perth? eg. late 80's js300 or even a mid 90s js550 if i ever get back to work wouldnt mind buying a cheapie (under 2k) for me & the kids to mess about on. But if its going to be a real hassel to keep one of these oldies going i might have to rethink.. thanks Last edited by norwest_rumbler; 11-11-2009 at 11:31 PM. |

>400 meters offshore and you need a PFD1 anyway
and you will need a 3 seater for tow-in. Also as far as I know all involved (pilot, spotter and surfer) are required to have a RST. and +700 for yammie I have a GP1300R and love it, shame its only a 2 seater, cos I'm flogging it soon |

That's the first I've heard of it. Usually only the skipper needs a RST. As long as there's a Skipper supervising (from on board) the driver of the vessel doesn't even need one. |

Thats what i was told when i was pulled up once. As long as someone physically on the jetski has their RST then everything is ok.

I was talking about tow ins
http://forum.jetskijunkys.com/viewto...=tow+in#p10259 1. PWC operator and the person being towed must hold a Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST). Last edited by thebish; 02-12-2009 at 02:35 AM. |
