gone the days when you could just place a magnet near your meter

still bypassing it is possible especially if you have a locked box with a little window for the western power dude...install a switch and bypass it away

*disclaimer - i have not done this to my place and do not recommend you do it!

least you would have some return on the power bill lol

I try not to use the heater to much , but yeah i have insulation its new house.
upstairs is warmer than downstairs. and in summer downstairs cooler than up lol

but mine is just all the stuff i have running , spose when i am in my office i have 4 lcd monitors on, and i spend a bit of time in there.

then in my special room i have 2 x DVRs, cctv, modems, routers, power supply's, tv distribution, constantly on 24hours a day,

Alarm has multiple keypad plus door access control keypad readers, backup batts charging external siren backup batts.

and when we are home there is always a tv on.
and computers. Foxtel boxs are always on, everything is always on standby if not being used.
so i guess it all adds up.

I also have multipul UPS units around the house, they must draw power charging the batts,
