The school I work at had to ban free-dress days cause of what the 11-14 year olds were wearing not the Year 11s and 12s.

I find it really disturbing that people dress their kids especially little girls up like that, particularly in skimpy clothing. I worked in child protection for a year and a bit. Need I say anymore?

I tend to think it's generally done by parents who have issues themselves, and try to live out their failed ambitions through their children.

Unfortunately sexual attraction is one of those failed ambitions

It is pretty depressing, especially when there are plenty of other people who would probably be excellent parents, suffering through fertility issues

Personally I'd be looking at all the video clips on TV Hits of a Saturday morning to find your number one influence for our youngster's choice of clothing and the early onset of sexualised behaviour :cringe:

When you are dating a gal thats (well in my instance, she was 19 when we got together)... size 6-8, yet curvy... uber fit... and loved pole dancing... this IS a GOOD thing...

Back on OT - YES, i dont know whats up with childrens/young teens dress sense these days. I know when I played stepdad for 4 years, my step daughter was dressed a hell of a lot more 'normal'.... (conservative). :S But as someone mentioned, I think the media, magazines, and shows like video hits, have to take some of the blame... (Ladyboy Gaga, earlier Britney, PCD... etc).

I think it's a little careless to name and assume certain professions in that kind of statement dude. Statistics show that more often than not, sexual assault of children is usually perpetrated by a family member or close friend of the family. Nothing to do with career whatsoever.

That is true, around 8 out of 10 cases or sexual abuse are by family members or friends of the family. I have felt for a long time that the media needs to be more strict with the ratings on video/music shows as wll as radio. It really does not send a good impression to these kids to see or hear about their idols i.e Britney, pcd, 50cent totting guns, smacking hos, or humping people whilst getting round in as little as possible
