my room mate got hit a few days ago at chooks at the Vale shopping center in Canningvale so would stay clear ....also was told that KFC on spencer road in thornlie is also causing problems ...

the sooner we move to smartcard based transactions the better.

australia is such an easy target for card fraud.

Is smartcard the little chip on some eftpos/credit cards??

I have recently been to HJs in yokine and a few pubs around leederville/claremont area. Pay with everything with cash from now on.

I was in the UK 15 months ago and my aussie visa card was almost useless over there- everywhere was chip and pin..the got smashed hard before introducing it over there too, I wondered how long it would be before they rolled it out over here. some places even had to manually (the old paper machine) take my CC details, they had no facility to swipe magnetic cards at all
