A shitload of ATM frauds seem to be going on recently. A couple of mates got hit at the ANZ ATM inside Garden City, Booragoon.

Keep an eye out.

Maccas in Willeton is another one and I've never been there, they somehow charged a small amount from one of my accounts yesterday so rang the bank today and they have sorted it all out and credited it back and started an investigation.

Trying out one of their fake cards perhaps?

Cunts are getting smarter and sneakier these days!!!!

I am with ANZ must be about 2 months ago now i got called from their fraud team, so i took their number and called them back, they shut all my accounts an re-issued me with all my cards took over a week, could not access any money till they sorted it.

I cant understand why we dont have chip and pin we had it in the UK for at least 3yrs before i left so 6yrs +.... looks like the only place safe to take cash out at the moment is the machines inside the banks.

Its very worrying I'm not sure if I should do any prevention measures . I know my Mrs used eft card at a maccas in belmont and I used it at coles.. but I think from now on ill just use credit card or cash.

With credit card at least your covered a bit more is that right ?

They just withdraw cash from ATMs, no transfer of funds to another account, just plain simple cash.

Correct, bank cards not so much, but i believe RBA boss said that the money will be returned to all victims of these types of crime.

Check your internet banking every day. Report anything suspicious Immediately.

You shouldn't be liable for anything you didn't do. Absolute worst case you are not liable for anything after the time you report.

Cash is your friend. Avoid the ATMs, cash out at the tellers in the banks if you want to be safe.

So far most money has come out of people's savings accounts, but there are a few cases of money leaving credit cards. These are accounts that are linked/accessed via a pin number.

Credit cards have a bit more security. If you have the option of signing/entering a pin, use the signing option.

Be afraid, be very afraid! muahahahaha
