^^^ Yeah, that's pretty much word for word the spiel we got when they had the oil in stock. But when they ran out it was like we CBF, we got nothin' just buy whatever.....

Mobil1 ESP ftw as used in the Merc Turbo diesels with DP filters (dearer than the oem stuff & harder to find though)

The ones with the diesel particulate filters must use a specific low ash oil that won't kill the filter. There is no equivalent retail shell product as they don't market high quality ESTER based oils for retail sale.

Yes it's made by Shell, but it's not sold by shell as a retail product, it's an OEM only oil. (same with BMW's LL-04 which is a Castrol oem only product)

I wouldn't recommend using a retail Helix product in a zd or a yd navara. you can use mobil 1 esp though as its an ester based diesel DPF specific synthetic product.

I was pretty sure it was a castrol oil fully synthetic for the VWS? from factory right?
