Anyway, I knew the taxi's weren't racing at Oran Park anymore but I didn't realise it was getting pushed over to become a residential development - sad news. For sale are most of the assets of the place including the bridge, the pits, the control tower, in fact everything. Perhaps someone should send this link to the WA government - they could pick up some post Christmas bargains for Barbagello ...

If that's legit they'd want to be practically giving away most of that junk. Cost of removing some of those items namely the bridge and the pit lane complex would out way simple buying new amenities. I'm inclined to believe someone there is smoking illicit substances with a glass implement.

having been there myself, they are not on the pipe that hard..

the pit lane buildings isnt a brick and tile affair, was all metal supports and bolted together, picking the lot up and moving it somewhere wouldn't be all that hard... would be a bargin too...

The pit buildings are a fairly recent addition and I believe were designed to be pulled down as they knew the track only had a finite life years ago.
