Tom tom maps
I have just picked up a tom tom one which I think is a few years old. I need to update the maps on it.
Anyone know where I can download current maps for it free? I looked on the tom tom wedsite and it is around $80 to buy!!!

So once you've got the maps how do you put them on? I tried copying the maps from one tomtom to another and it just wouldn't work, had some error like it knew that the maps belonged to another device. So i reverted back from a backup and now it takes forever to load up :|

I fail. I have grabbed the SD card from my digital camera and formatted it. Made a back up of the SD from the tomtom on my pc and copied it to my camera sd. I put it in the tomtom and it shows a pic of an sd card with a red X through it. Any easy step by step way of updating it that will work? I havent touched the original tt sd card as I dont wanna fuck it up.

I have successfully completed multiple updates of TomTom GPS units.
Latest Navcore Software of 8.14 Latest Australia Maps of 8.40 (Q4 2009) Maps are 110MB Navcore software is only 50MB Its not that hard to do once you have the Map tool to Register the maps. I will upload a zip file with the latest Maps and navcore software for all the use when i finish work today. Will need a min of 1GB SD Card for Maps and voices.
