The aboriginal flag is not the flag of Australia. Any flag other than the Australian flag would be removed to avoid any 'taking sides' and lets Google stay neutral. The basic design is good and wins on that merit.

It's not that its the aboriginal flag. If it was the WA flag in there, the east coast would be upset... Etc etc... So unless its your national flag, easier to remove and stay neutral.

I think that is bullshit, If it wasn't an issue why did they take it off the main page but leave it in once you have clicked on it? you still see the logo has the Aboriginal flag, it just makes them look Racist for removing it, I think the union jack should be replaced with the Aboriginal flag!
