I didn't jailbreak my iPad. I can't be bother jailbreaking it because everytime a new update comes out, it removes all my jailbreak apps and settings. The easiest jailbreak software I've used is call Spirit.....the iPad version of this software is still in it's beta stage....so I'm staying away from it. Plus the existing Apps on Cydia are made for iphone / Touch....so there are a chance of it crashing your whole iPad.

i have jailbroken at least 5 ipads now using spirit and they have been fine. syncing and setting issues are resolved. tether your iphone to the ipad over wifi = happy times

I want one, but apparently Australia iPad owners won't be able to use iBook until next year (which is part of the reason i want it). Fuckers.

Who said iBooks won't be active till next year? I got iBooks on my iPad and there are quite a few free books to download.

yeah theres a fair few out now. more and more gets added everyday.

Can you purchase from the iBook store?

Only books that old that publishing rights have lapsed.
Borders is the place to get a lot of books for iPad in Aus.

That was an article published in January. Lots has changed since then. IBooks exist now, but very few books only. Good thing is that they're all free at the moment.
