Extended Trading and DLS are pretty contentious issues here in the West. People for some reason are so anti-change it really is laughable.

More trading hours means more choice and better prices for the consumer, while means more jobs and potentially more business for retailers. I find it amazing that for the last hundred years in WA, people can take their fat little kids to KFC every night of the week, but cannot buy groceries from a healthy green grocer.

Change is coming whether people like it or not, and DLS is next. I remember about 15-20 years ago people didn't want Petrol Station rostering to end because it would increase road deaths and ruin family time.

Yup that is amazing...

People of Perth would consider Tassie 'backwards' yet it didn't fall into a heap of poo having late trading hours.

It always amazes me when I come back to Perth to find all the major shops shut.

I have been in Sydney for the last week, and extended trading hours here is fkn fantastic.
I got much amusement from walking around Woolworths at 11pm on a monday night.
