Just ask the residents on millionaires row in Dalkeith, Peppy Grove etc. They are experts at killing ANY tree that obstructs their views of the Swan & city skyline!

Ring-barking works well I hear... in addition to stem injection with roundup etc.

Depends if it is illegal or not to get rid of it? There are all sorts of clandestine ways to kill trees with out anyone knowing. Drilling holes is so last season and easy to spot.

If you are allowed to get rid of it you would be best off to save up and get the loppers in and then stump grind the thing. When and as suckers pop up just spray them.

The last thing you want to do is kill it and then leave it there. It will fall down and create problems.

yes that's what I'm worried about. the big one at the back is near the fenceline so I don't want it falling on the neighbours house

alternatively watch the weather forcast, wait for the strong winds to come, cut the tree...a bit, (ohhh insure your house for more than it's worth) and job's done!
