Know a lot who have or have had Daikin. Never heard any complaints.

Have 2.5Hp Ducted upstairs and a 1.5hp inverter downstairs both 5 years old not a hitch so far.

Wouldn't even look at anything else if I was doing it again.

Have a big LG 3 phase unit R/C Ducted unit 4 zones 8 outlets. A bit noisy when the compressor starts but other than that can't complain about the cooling and heating etc..

We went throught Aussie Air in Malaga. Great service and good on price.

thats where i was most impressed by the daikin - the lack of noise, eveything else is pretty normal which is great.

There is not one point in my house I can hear the compressor. Even if i went to the wall on the other side of it. Still can not hear it. Very very quite.

Call ABW airconditioning 9248 9001, they take care of you at that place, maintenance is just as important as the product, they specialise in Actron Air(google it), Australian Company which are big in the eastern states,i work for celebration homes and we use it on most of our displays, the unit is so quiet and it's australian made. daikan is japanese! man I sound like dick smith!!

Daikin FTW - I maintain a shitload of these units and when it comes down to the intstall price/running cost - daikin although cost a bit more when 1st purchasing the units, are far better quality than most of the other gear out there. plus the support ie parts and servicing are really good from what ive seen.
still havent had to make any warranty claim on a new daikin yet.

temperzone units are designed for commerial use.... big expensive and only become cost effective when you get into the bigger package or big ducted split types..

Again, Thanks all for input.
Have been to a few daikin "dealers" this week and have found big variations for the same model, which doesn't really suprise me..

But NVRENUF's recommendation of Winton Air has come the goods so far, a touch over $11K for 8 outlets and 6 zone Daikin system, which is not the cheapest of the lot quoted, difference of about $400. But I believe a personal recomendation is potentially worth more than a few $$ down the track... Going to go in and see them early next week and see if they wanna do a "cash deal".

Again, thanks all.

Cheers

Ashley
