Sorry to hijack this but I'm soon to be lookig for a MY06/MY07 Sti, (only about 1 month of savings to be there) The "bargins" ie I could buy for cash now are not really Stis, but are GXs or the like build up with some WRX/Sti bits, but advertised as Stis. Very annoying. All the best on your search.

Sounds like Muhammads' backyard specials, or have you seen this taking place in commercial car yards?

The guys on here are pretty quick so if you're unsure, take down a VIN, chassis numbers, or better yet take a pic of the compliance plate, as well as distinguishing features (instrument cluster, dash, interior etc), and let the WRX detectives do their thing
