Default DTS, Blueray, Dolby Surround Demo

Any body have some links to download some different kinds of demo files

mix of audio or and video.

Some copys of those blueray sample dvds you see at the tv shops would be good. something that shows 1080p, and 5.1, 7.1 audio,

I've got all sorts of audio/video demo and calibration discs as well you can borrow if that's of any help to you. PM me if interested. I do have a whole bunch of Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, DTS-ES (discreet and matrix) files in both digital WAV and VOB formats, if I can locate them I'll post you a link.

If you just want to test your surround sound audio or even just to spin people out by showing them just how cool surround sound can be check this site out http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel...artikel=740607

You will need to burn the wav file as a CD track onto a CDR and then play it on a CD player or DVD player with either optical or co-axial digital out fed into a corresponding digital audio input channel on your receiver and let the magic begin. There are mostly 5.1 tracks but there are a few 6.1 tracks too, they are sensational to say the least, even the non-english speaking ones.

Enjoy

I did that a couple of weeks ago on a day off while pottering about the house.
3 in the afternoon and I had cops at my front door for a noise complaint.

I've bought quite a few Dolby and DTS bluray demo discs from eBay which showcase the 7.1 HD-MASTER audio formats. There are quite a few manufacturer released demo discs floating around also which usually have a whole bunch of the high quality movie trailers. I'll find some links for you an post them up here.

An absolute must-have for all home theater enthusiasts is Digitial Video Essentials (HD and standard versions) - it comes with colour panels to properly calibrate your display or projector and also has all the various audio calibration tones etc which when combined with an audio level meter allows you to properly calibrate your audio to ensure all of your speakers are outputting at the correct levels etc.

I used to have heaps, will have to dig through my old saved windows profiles and see if they are still in my old favourites somewhere.

That happened to us a few years back when testing DTS audio through a glass fibre-optic cable (as opposed to a shitty plastic one) except it was the council who rocked up (a rather hot chick actually lol). After some discussion and showing her my various SPL meters and how we were actually 0.05 db under the legal maximum she kind of gave up
