Love my iPhone! Love the apps, who need signal on their phone anyway. I hate speaking on the phone, blokes conversations should be short and sweet anyway. Want to go to the pub? Yep see you there.
Who needs a phone for that? When the phone rings it's usually the Mrs anyway so who cares if it drops out. If you use it for work then the same rule applies.

LOL... Loaded question much...

"iPhone yes or no" is like asking "are blondes better than brunettes....?" haha.

(Of course not in my case... ).

Im biased, as ive been part of the iFamily (phone wise) for a year and a half or so. I fought it for ages, as everyone I knew had one. (Persisted with Nokia/Samsung). Then bought the 3GS, and have since upgraded a couple of weeks ago to the i4.

I love them both. The i4's camera though, multitasking, and improved speed/power, (the way it goes about its business), is worth it over the 3/3GS.

The only minor gripe I have, is battery life. That said, Im always near a USB cable, 12vdc or AC adapter though. And I certainly dont need to charge it daily. It's just 'par for the course' noting its a touchscreen. I leave wifi networks turned off, and brightness to approx 1/3. (I have an anti-glare/protectant film on the front).

But yes, if your looking for an easy to use phone/text machine/web surfer/planner... etc, i4 is a worthy contender to the other smartphones.

Brent.

there are so many other phones on the market that are better than the apple iphone, tbh i hate how apple restricts everything.

Have a look at the HTC desire or the samsung galaxy, and make your decision then

As a first time user of smartphones you could look at the HTC Aria or Wildfire for Android phones. If you want something more then the HTC Desire or even the HTC Desire HD but that will be larger and more expensive. The iPhone 4 is a good choice for most people as it's easy. Apple accessories are easily available and the ipod connection is an option for portable speakers, clock radios and cars. If my parents were going for a smartphone I would recommend the iPhone but for me it would be a second choice.

I vote no.

Or know??

Battery in my (3g) dies around late afternoon
Many call drop outs
Sometimes I get the underwater robots voice
lately having to turn off and back on to clear problems (reboot)
Finding GPS is very slow to lock on and many times loses signal

Aps are cool but I hear there are just as many on Android

I'm getting a HTC Desire HD as my next phone now I am out of contract

Tried the whole apple thing, won't go back
