Default Vista Help

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help me, I've had a look around but no answers.

I have a Dell Lappy running vista. Tonight when I booted her up the screen seemed really dim, restarted, farted about, then thought maybe the power cord was unplugged, so pulled it out and screen went bright again??? Put it back in and = dim.... and so on...

Any suggestions?? quite annoying.

Thanks

check the power options in the control panel. there is brightness settings for when it is on AC power and battery power.

Check the power options first, could be stuck in portable mode when the charger is plugged in.

Most laptops have some sort of integration between the quick key software and screen brightness.
Could possibly be an issue with some software/drivers.
If you have the driver & application cd/dvd chuck that in and reinstall any quick key software.

As said above. Will all be sorted with either the power settings or a quick adjusting of the brightness with quick keys

First mistake. It's a Dell
Second mistake. It's running Vista

No seriously, the above suggestions will resolve your issue, it is just the power settings. No biggy.

Sounds like Vista's dreaded infection mode.

Quick get a hammer and smash the shit out of it before you all get infected!!!!!!
