Love Rochelle's Impreza R Ltd

Looks good for what it is, drives nice, and with the leather interior(ltd) it's comfy as inside!...

That said, the i30 is a great car and I've had good experiences with them through work as well, especially the TDi...

We also looked at the 3 when we were buying and although it was nice in the higher spec models, comparing the base version with the Impreza, it was a no-brainer for me... the interior space was also much less compared to the Impreza, although we were looking at sedans.

i30 for sure! Not a fan of the mazdas or focus. Deffo dont go astra! Golf or polo would be good to. Samsies with Impreza R but i would still go the i30.

Ah forgot you were in Albany. In that case I say the Impreza R, only because I have heard bad stories about the World of Cars mob that have Hyundai.

I do detailing for Albany Auto's & had nothing but good dealing with Mike & Ted.

Agreed, Albany Auto's are an excellent bunch. When I first bought my WRX Dave gave me a full run down of the car as it had been serviced there from the start.
World of Cars is crap.
But you don't have to service with the dealer. My Mum deals with Promotions down there for her Mazda 3 & the guys are always excellent.

P.S. I have seen an I30 diesel do 1000kms to a tank when I worked for them. (It was country Km's, but still really good.)

i30 is good but they seem to really lose their value, you can get a second hand one for around 12k.... Impreza may be the way to go.

the mitsubishi ASX?

Dad has had his 09 Impreza R for the better part of this year. Fuss free motoring.

Mind you an i30 is hard to go past, all things considered (except re-sale perhaps).

Can probably get a Ferrari for 12k somewhere too. Whats your point?

i30's arent too bad on resale. But given Dave's mum is still rocking an old Liberty, one would suggest she's not likely to get rid of the car anytime soon so resales not really an issue.

I dont buy into the whole Corolla thing. Yeah they're great for resale, so if youve got one, awesome. But to buy a 2nd hand one, you end up generally paying more for a Corolla thats generally got less standard features than the equivilant Hyundai/Mazda/Nissan etc. Toyota are the only company i can think of that in 2008 were still putting winding windows in the rear of their $20,000+ midsized car. Eww.
