I will get a 3d tv when there isnt the need for glass's and the technology gets a lot better.

but beyond that a good quality lcd or plasma would be my pick at the moment

I bought a similar Samsung 55" LED 3D tv a few weeks back. I wasn't too particularly impressed with the 2D-3D feature though that would not be a fair comparison for non-3d specific shows. Still waiting to get a 3D Blu-ray player to get the full effect. But aside from that, 4 HDMI ports, low power consumption, small footprint and really good contrast, its a pretty decent TV to get now
