Spelling (or lack thereof)
 

Can we introduce a spelling test for all members that MUST be passed before any posting is allowed???

I don't know about some of you but spelling was a major part of education when I was in short pants, but as evidenced lately the need to spell does not appear to be high on the priority list for a fair few people.
My 2 cents anyway.

it shits me to tears as well, and im not that old (heh, im not saying your old shane... ok well maybe i am) but if i was an admin, postings that resemble a 14 yearold girl sending an sms would be baleated

and I agree.. it doesnt take THAT much more time to type the word properly.. unless you are a 1 finger typer.. in which case you need plenty of practice to increase your speed.. so taking short cuts will not help you !

No I'm only a 3 or 4 finger typer and I'm still pretty quick. This whole SMS lingo should be kept to the times where you're limited to 160 characters.

You're not paying by the letter here folks.....so live a little. Besides if keyboard warrioring is all you're doing you could probably use the extra exercise :D

Basically, people need to realise this is the Internet, it's not SMS and you have more than 160 characters to work with.
