i heard Nissan are expecting anywhere from 1400-2500 to be damaged.. but obviously some will be worse than others.
I wonder if insurance covers them? from my background in insurance most companies would claim Force Majeure (act of god) therefore not covered by insurance?? but my background is more international import/export shipping & logistics. |

I think there are some slightly more serious issues than damage to some new cars and tyres currently in Japan!

Just got this little bit of info back regarding my enquiries about STi enkei's rims for a GB and the R205 4pot rear brakes.
*"As for STI/Subaru, they have been affected the most by the earthquake. Part of their factories are still closed, the stock in the warehouses must also be checked because the sprinkler systems went off. They are moving slow but they should be back in full operation again here soon. We will not be able to get any lead time information until later this week on STi/ Subaru." So looks like they were pretty affected after all which is a damn shame as a lot of stuff would have been ruined bit hopefully they have some kind of sale to get rid of soiled stock!

Yep no worries, I've already said I'd put my hand up for soiled stock that comes up which could be rims and parts which only have water damaged boxes which they cant sell.
