See it was upgraded to a 9.0... apparently the 5th worst on record.
Who's keen to add this to the charity/pasta cup cruise?? I think we should all be chipping in an extra $10.00 |

If anyone has the right to say suck shit its the Chinese for all the atrocities the Japanese inflicted on the innocent people when they invaded but still a lot of them don't hold grudge against the Japanese and say the past is the past.

Reactor #3 at Fukishima #1 nuclear power plant has exploded now 1 day after reactor #1 went up!!!
If I was in Japan I'd be getting out quick smart before it ends up like Chernobyl.

Yeah that's right and apparently the worlds nuclear watchdog is finding it hard to get straight answers from Japan about exact radiation levels and damage etc, so hopefully they're not trying to cover up to avoid panic instead of getting the help they need to control and avert a disaster.

I heard on the tv about an hour ago that a US helicopter picxked up radiation in the air approximately 70 miles from the plant! Very very low levels, but still a worry.

"A hydrogen explosion has rocked Japan's stricken Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant, similar to an earlier one at a different unit in the facility.
A massive column of smoke was seen belching from the plant's No. 3 unit. The reactor had been under emergency watch for a possible explosion as pressure built up there following a hydrogen blast Saturday in the facility's Unit 1. Japan's nuclear agency confirmed there was an explosion at the No. 3 reactor as TV images showed smoke rising from the facility, 240 km north of Tokyo. However, citing information from the plant operator TEPCO, chief government spokesman Yukio Edano said the reactor container was likely undamaged and there was a low possibility of major radiation." |

Here are some photo's from our Kirin Brewery in Sendai after the quake. Everyone here survived by running up to the roof.
