My partner is Japanese, shes been living in Perth for a couple of years now but her family is still in Japan, a few hundred km from the earthquake. She was worried and couldn't get through to them because all the phone lines were absolutely jammed to the limit. But later on tonight she managed to contact them and they are safe, but there is no power or gas or anything in the town.

I watched that same video that someone posted. Really scary, especially watching the cars trying to drive away from the Tsunami... 200 - 400 people died.

^^^Photo #35 seems to have a few Nissan 350z or GTR's in the top left, that was only 1 of many Automotive companies new vehicle shipping yards at the docks, so I'd say quite a few New Subaru's were wiped out aswell!

Sad as that is, they'll be a lot of cheap parts around.

Caveat Emptor of course.
