Well, if you actually quote him correctly, it says chops most 5ltrs - which it would have very little trouble doing.

They weigh next to nothing. But as the ad says, they have VERY weak gearboxes, no surprise its smashed one with 185hp.

Not sure why you posted that car .

You are correct, however, the situation "chops most 5ltrs" will determine the outcome, as you and everyone else knows that most V8's will chop that in a straight line, but cornering, AWD wins, so there is two sides, and it is not specified which one he is referring to when he states that it "chops most 5ltrs" so...make of that what you will, and considering the power/weight, it is very quick car, but, with a rooted gearbox/driveline, it won't do much good.

And trying to chop V8's is probably the reason the drivetrain/gearbox is farked. so, yeah.

Cheers

Have you driven a 5ltr V8 - which I presume he means either a VB-VT Commodore or 1990's falcon... maybe some old 5l truck or something, but I doubt it.

They are slow. Like fucking slow, unless some serious bits are added. My first VN with a built V6 would easily take care of many 5ltr Commodores. Tells you alot.

This off a set of lights would hose any of them with ease, and in roll ons too. Didnt even consider corners in my thoughts.

I have driven a black one of these with 200hp at the wheels, it was by no means a slouch - the engines love to rev which makes them good fun also.

If you knew anything outside of Subaru you would know that even normal driving will kill a tx3 box with that power.

Regardless, it is neat inside and out, and the driveline issues can be sorted. Ever seen a wrx for sale with a blown gearbox?

It is nowhere near embarassing.

I have driven a 5ltr V8, 1998 XR8 ute, and that was by no means slow either, easily would have beaten my Bugeye, although off the line (in a separate instance) I took a 300m lead, the ute very quickly caught up and went past with ease, I have not driven TX3, and since you have, only you, who has driven both can give an honest and neutral opinion, so if you say that the TX3 will eat most V8's, then I stand corrected, and will completely admit that I am wrong, and I do know that the gearbox's on the TX3 are very weak, as I was looking into them before I got my WRX, although I had never taken one for a test drive etc. So in conclusion, I will take your word in saying that the TX3 will rape a V8 with ease, and I know you are the UN*official shit stirrer and everything...but do you take days off? :P

Im still learning mate, and by no means know everything as of yet, but am keen to learn, so thanks for the information regarding the TX3

Im not stirring you.

I just express my opinions in an upfront manner.

The threads called embarrassing cars.
Clearly thats not. Its not rice, its a modified turbo 4wd that should do a low 13 with an operating box.

You may not like my method of replying, but I say how I feel when I feel it.

P.S my signature sums up my thoughts really. Some like me, some wont. Its up to you how seriously you take me.
