Default Visual Basics

Hey guys/girls
I'm currently doing a unit at uni that uses VB.
I'm struggling hardcore and was wondering if anyone on here knows any tutors or are willing to give a fellow member some help with programming problems.
Any website that teaches how to code would be awesome aswell.
Havn't managed to find any VB tuts online that are useful.
I'm studying surveying if that means anything.
Cheers
Hai

I write VB code for a living (everything from VB/Dos through VB6 to Vb2008)

If you have any specific q's you're welcome to post them up or PM me and I'll see what I can do. Bear in mind I don't get on here all that often and my offline time is severely limited.

Nerd... oh wait... how do I get your job ?

Its probably worth mentioning that programming is somewhat of an art form. Either you understand
how to conceptualise a problem in such a way that you can program... or you cant.

Can you program in ANY language ? if so, you need a tutorial like "VB for C# programmers" or "Learning VB for Dephi gurus".

Knowing what a for loop does, or "option explicit" is one thing... knowing how to put it all together to actually get the computer to do something useful is something else. Eg, I have met people who understand the constructs and loops etc, but cannot for the life of them break a real problem down in such a way that they can code a solution.

Its like me and painting... I can pick up a brush... I know what colours are.. and I can see the landscape... but what I put on the canvas is complete shite.

LOL because VB is used shitloads still!

Possibly join experts-exchange.

Or don't join and just search experts-exchange and see if you can work it out from previous questions asked.

Sorry to ask this but I dont see how programming in general has to do anything with surveying??

maybe create a program to calculate certain problems in the field?
