Fangio
Juan Fangio, greatest driver ever.
It is a few days past the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fangio. So far no comment on here so here goes- Fangio started racing late and continued racing and winning long after most of his age had retired. His early experience as a motor mechanic could have lead to his reputation of getting the most out his cars, somehow he could finish even with a badly damaged vehicle. His driving to win at the 1957 Nurburgring Grand Prix is regarded as awesome. I have read a few descriptions of that race, if there is a not a movie of it, there should be. (For track use only) |

Interesting,
While i don't doubt that fangio was a fantastic driver (at the time anyway) to use the term "greatest ever" is very difficult! Thats like saying Seb Leob is the best ever but really he is not up against any real opposition, is he good, yes, is he a Colin Mccrea or Walter Rorhl or Ari Vatanen..... NO! (Not to be consumed)

Yes, one of the greatest ever drivers.
Monster Tajima should rank up there too. (Seek medical advice if swallowed)

if i were missing my front teeth, i'd argue brocky.
(keep out of direct sunlight) recommend 'The Killer Years' for a good movie on historic drivers and the losses!
