Thanks for sharing, I read and learn.
With your driving ability and this car I am sure you will always be at the pointy end of the field. Congratulation.

Update:

The cage is nearly in. Basically just the bar that supports the steering column and most of the gussets to go. Then there are the fiddly jobs like the monit mount and the pedal box mounts.

Rear mount. Some of the skin is cut away so the cage can be mounted straight to the main chassis. There is a cover that goes over it so it ends up looking all pretty.

Rear cage junction.

Rear suspension strut top.

Jig for the dash bar so we dont have to use the stock heavy one.

Rear strut tower again.

A couple of carbon bits......

We also made a decision not to put the brackets on the bottom of the car like this so that it is easier to put it up on stands for service. Sole reason is they weigh over 2kg's each. That would be another 8kg's we would have to take out to even it off. They look great and do serve a purpose but we really want this thing light as we can make it.

I also wanted to paint the inside silver however I have been told that that will use approx 6kg of paint whereas just painting it white can be done in less that 2 kg's.

Also found some dry carbon doors. The fronts alone are 15 kg's ea lighter than the standard ones. Uber shame we are not allowed to run them...

The painter is overseas until the end of next week so basically the aim is to get it ready for paint by the end of next week.

No reinforcement plate on the strut tower? or are they stronger than noodle chassis GCs so not needed?
