I'd say they are still to come.

Update:

The cage is all but finished. The pedal box was the wrong one originally so we have returned that and the new one has arrived and is installed. i have not been up to Race Torque to have a look because I have been busy but I have taken a couple of photos of bits and pieces that I have ready to go on the car.

I went for the Chase Cam video setup. Reason being it can run up to 4 cameras (I bought 3 as I think this should be enough), it can be hardwired so no worrying about batteries going flat, it has a gps antenna to record your speed etc and it has an OBD plug to record revs etc. You can get it to overlay a "Dashboard" so should be good.

These are the new brakes. TMR want $8k for these and I got them landed (including duty) from the UK for just over $3k

This was a little over kill but when I saw it I had to have it. It is a carbon steering wheel. Supposedly its half the weight of a normal one. I have not weighed the one in the Subaru but it is silly light.

When I get back I have to go straight up to RT and get the seat rail fitting done and then it will be off to paint. Then the real fun starts.

Not being a smartarse here, it's a genuine question I've always wondered about guys that lighten up cars as much as possible - do you train/diet for the event/s you're competing in to get yourself down to a target weight?

That can only be a good thing. Just like keeping unsprung weight as low as possible so as to improve handling, acceleration and turning, having to physically move half a kilo less with your hands every turn can only be a positive thing.

Obviously I can't answer for what Brendon does personally, but it should be the goal of any competitive driver to be as light yet strong as possible.
Competition regulation weights are all to do with car + fluid weight, right Brendon? It doesn't take into account a minimum "car + driver" weight does it? It's not like horse racing?

The minimum weight is for the car only and not car and driver. The easiest way to think about it is as free horsepower. Less stress on the tyres / brakes / mechanicals. More nimble, uses less fuel.

Also I have lost about about 16kg's since the beginning of the year solely for the point you mention.
