I remember reading about a couple of new ones in Highgate area?

El Publico is the one in Highgate. Sort of like tapas and not that cheap too.

La Cholita is in Northbridge on Williams Street.

And underage girls dressed up to the hilt because they will serve cheap alcohol without checking id.....

The other one is 'that mexican place'. More authentic and there is one in North Perth and Vic Park. If you go there ask for the properly hot sauce.... thing made me hurt.

never been a fan of panchos, the place is a shithole and the food could have come out of a packet

Perth - Mexican Resturants

I personally am yet to eat any Mexican ... Lot of tex/mex abounds.

If you see sour cream - its most likely Tex/Mex Resturant.

Tex/Mex is an Americanised version of Mexican. Hard shell taco is Texas/Mexican. Real Mexican is almost indistinguishable from Tex/Mex.



There two more in this series on Mexico.

My Dad had a passion for exotic food - used to make his own molé for Mexican. I ate chocolate molé savoury dishes decades before they made popular cook books.

Owe Dad a bit food wise - Germanic and Italian (thanks grandparents and mum) food is great but when cilantro, lime and garlic gets together
