I am having an argument at work and I was wondering if anyone would know if I am correct or not.

So one of the guys recons that he was driving back from his local shop about 2km from his home. He was saying that he was driving over the speed limit about 20km/h over. So he drove past cops and they saw him they have turned around and come after him. He says he has driven all the way home and parked in his carport. He has gotten out of the car and the cops have pulled up but they have not been able to fine him because he is now on private property.

I was saying that its a load of BS. If you brake the rules of the road and the police see you they can fine you if even if you pull into private property once they see you.

My argument is if that was the case if a cop wanted to pull you over for breaking the road rules all you would have to do is drive into someones driveway and they would not be able to do anything.
