I'm thinking of doing this on the house this year as the kids are a little older now and enjoy it some what. Does anyone else on here do up their house in December? If so, where do you get some quality lights etc from besides trolling eBay.

I do mine up. Did a little last year with some lights in my front garden and the neighbors said their kids liked it so I got more this year. Got up on the roof on Sunday last week and hung some icicle lights. Have some more to out up in front yard next week and then will post up a photo.

All my lights are just from Big W and they do the trick. Have had the ones in the back yard out all winter through all the rain and they still work fine.

This site is reputable, have purchased off them with success - but don't show your wife/girlfriend etc...they will buy lots of dresses and shoes....very cheap...

I do this every year as all of my neighbours are involved also, from my experience I have found the rope lights to last better in the sun, compared to the bud light type. Normally put up about 450m or so. As stated before Kmart and big w have some good deals at times. I generally go eBay shopping though and replace them every couple of years.
