Do you suffer from hyperhidrosis i.e. excessive sweating under the arms or is it a whole body issue? If its hyperhidrosis I can offer some info on treatment.

Cant you get the nerve endings for the sweat glands lasered ( or something similar ) to desensitise them?

Yeah i do suffer from hyperhydrosis, badly. Anything you can recommend would be great.. if tried to roll-on deodherant stuff and found that it did nothing for me as i just sweated anyway.

Not sure Burke, but certainly would be something i would like to ask a GP... my life would be a whole lot different if i didn't have this problem every day

Pretty sure you can get it done. A mate of mine had chronic foot sweat issues and I'm positive it can be treated by doing something to the nerve endings. I think it is the same for the underarms.

Well mate ther is some good news, I suffered from hyperhydrosis badly ie Lake Whakatipu under each armpit even when not exercising, tried everything under the sun and nothing worked. Farken emabarassing as it was a problem just going to the pub, let alone Board meetings dressed in a suit......

I use Dr Joanne Tey at Dermedica 9205 1995. Basically you get botox injections just under the skin near the sweat glands under your arms to desensitise them. Treatment lasts about 10months, but now I have been a few times the treatment time has stretched out to about 14 months, mainly I think because it is also a partly nervous reaction ie you are conscious of the sweating which makes it worse...

About $1200 but I can say it is simply life changing and wish i had known about 20 yrs ago, hope this is of some help.
