Whoops!
I've been looking at this one http://www.bikeexchange.com.au/bicyc...n/wa/102004699 What do you think? And my only concern is whether to go with flat or curled bars, flat bars look better to me, but how much advantage is there if any, with curled bars? Thanks for all your help guys! |

I'd skip it.
Has a mix of tiagra and sora gear, and seems kinda overpriced. TBE run a line of bikes called amiata, and have a $995 special with full tiagra gear (one step up from sora) and a ally frame (carbon forks + seatpost). I ride one and theyre a good bit of kit, nothing has broken in 6 months and i have a bad habit of jumping kerbs at 30+km The Bicycle Entrepreneur, Perth, WA, The Bicycle Entrepreneur, Perth's bike experts Get curled bars with the brake/gear integrated thingy (can't remember the name) much easier than having a flat bar with the standard gear and brake levers seperate, and the integrated one is harder to break when you crash

105s as a minimum, trust me!!
I rode from East Perth to Butler on Monday night. First time I've done the ride all the way home. 44 kms covered in 1hr 40mins! I was pretty happy. Averaged 27 km an hour over the full distance! Keen to do it twice a week hopefully! |

I've been riding the old mans Scott carbon bike with 105s, have to save as a starter bike the tiagra set is better. 105s dont have a gear indicator, and are spaced a bit wider. They are a much nicer gearset but for a starter bike I'd go tiagra
