TDI, yep. ~110km/h cruising with a 6spd dsg doing about 1600rpm or something crazily low. DSG kicks down real easy so power is still there when you poke it.

Yep Nice rig.

Also probably has that Bluetooth feature that allows you to listen to your iphone music via bluetooth and displays on the dash.

7 Speed box is wicked too. I have driven a frew golfs with the 7 speed and it is ultra smooth.

phil, probably the particulate filter if it only gets used for short trips

anyone with a new gen diesel should bear this in mind, here's what i'm talking about:

VW Audi DPF filter regeneration with DPF problems like clogging and why you can't do a DPF bypass or DPF delete with a kit

quite a few people have been caught out with the new forester diesels, particulate filter aint cheap to replace (around $2k iirc) & no aftermarket eqivalents available as yet

I haven't looked at the actual car in question, but in the mkV diesel golf's only the GT Sport with the 2.0 TDi with 125kw/360nM had the DPF. The lower spec'd diesels were DPF free. Not sure if this has been carried forward for the mkVI?

DPF was definitely an issue with Mazda 3's when I was selling them. Very rarely did they need replacing even if the DPF light came on. They hooked the car up to the computer, ran a DPF regeneration which took about an hour and it was good to go again, but if it was fucked, at the time they were $5k and not covered by warranty which sucked as weekly yard starts lasting around 15 minutes would fuck the DPF after 6 or so months.

Best bang for buck car on the market, no brainer really. Good luck with your search.

Looking at a 2011 Polo 1.2 turbo with dsg gearbox full service history and low kms . Anyone here that has one or can give me an opinion on them ? Not familiar with the VW name like how reliable they are and the problems they have obviously particularly the Polo which is the one in interested in ! Any info or help would be appreciated cheers guys !

Yeah I bought a Polo turbo diesel, still have it now with 73k km

No problems to reports so far so good(touchwood), tho I think the older models had DSG gearbox problems and would melt pistons

Does 950km to a tank, has bluetooth and above average oem sound system
