Subscribed just to see the outcome. I always thought, bank cheque or personal cheque you waited 5 days rain hail or shine unless you pay some bullshit fee then it becomes 2 days.

3 days is normal cheque clearing time. When Michael asked me I called one of the CBA branch managers I know to ask them the answer which was cash at westpac, or deposit into CBA and wait the 3 days

I'll try to cash it, and if that fails i'll bank it and wait until it clears.. just delays my fishing tackle shopping triip by a few days

yeah several, he signed the bottom - the bit where he said please pay cash too. I fucking told them 5 times today I wanted cash, i rock up... sorry mate we have no cash!

I've been in situations where they will take the cheque as long as you have ID but also where they will only take the cheque if the bank has a copy of the signature on the cheque, which is usually where the account is held even with photo ID
